Seattle Seahawks FB Leonard Weaver the pride of Satellite HS
Seattle Seahawks fullback and 2001 Satellite HS graduate Leonard “Pac Man” Weaver during the in-game introduction on Sunday Night Football on Oct. 14, 2007 vs. the Saints. This is also the first start of his NFL career and it happens to be in prime-time!Weaver took over the starting role after 15 year vet Mack Strong retired due to injury. He is now plowing the way for All-Pro RB Shaun Alexander. I had the pleasure of playing football with Weaver for a season as a sophomore at Satellite HS during the 1999-2000 season. Weaver was a bad ass but he was also one of the coolest teammates anyone couldve had. Hed pick you up on/off the field. Weavers story is remarkable. After graduating from SHS in 2001, not alot of programs recruited him. He went onto play at Carson-Newman College where he starred for four years. Despite his accolades, he went undrafted. He then busted his ass, signed as a free agent for the Seahawks and then earned his way to a roster spot. Hes also one of the most successful athletes to ever come out of Satellites storied athletics program. His number was retired last year. Congrats Leonard! Go Seahawks and go Scorpions!
